What is the purpose of propertyservices.co.nz?
“Propertyservices.co.nz is designed to give you the right level of information on service businesses” to save you time and help you identify the people that are a good match for your property-related job.
Who can be in?
Any business providing a service to residential or commercial property in the greater Auckland region may be included as a free basic entry in their main category.
How was the information verified?
All businesses included were phoned to confirm their basic information. Businesses with profiles also approved proofs. To submit information new or updated, please use this form or contact us.
Association Members – why & how included?
Associations play a vital role in promoting trades and professions, maintaining standards, resolving disputes and education. For some Associations, membership is primarily individual based and for others businesses can also be members. Where applicable for certain categories and membership types, a number of Associations have confirmed membership of all included businesses as at mid-April 2008. This verified information has been included in basic entries. For membership updates, contact the relevant Association directly. A big thank you to all participating Associations for their help with verifying their members.
Can I edit my information online?
All businesses with a detailed profile can log in and edit their own information – adding more text and images to their website pages. To start the registration process, visit here.
Why are some listings more detailed than others?
Free basic entries for businesses include business name, main phone, main geographic area covered, Association memberships & whether they work for commercial or domestic clients, or both. Some businesses have paid for additional business information – professionally presenting their full service information.

Each business has indicated a broad geographic area that they cover: some may be more targeted within these regions, others cover several regions.
How are propertyservices.co.nz and Property Services funded?
By advertising – we have reasonable, accessible rates for business profiles in print and online.
Can the categories change?
The categories are designed to cover major service related areas that both the general public & industry can relate to. Making sense of such a huge, complex industry was not easy, and we are open to your suggestions for improving future editions.
What’s the Print Distribution?
The total distribution of the first edition of Property Services Auckland 2007 was 35,000. The 2nd edition has an initial print run of 25,000 copies, with a minimum 10,000 more due for the Auckland Home Show in September.
All businesses included (in print and online) have received a complimentary copy – reflecting our model of guaranteed industry distribution. There is also further targeted complimentary distribution to major public & recreational facilities, all Auckland secondary & primary schools, hospitals and rest homes, relevant departments of territorial authorities, government departments and transport authorities. Using demographic codes, an additional 4000 copies have been distributed to high value domestic property owners in the Auckland region.
What is the order of the search results?
Results are based on relevance to your search criteria, then alphabetical by individual or organisation name.
When is the next edition?
The third edition of the Property Services Book is due out in the second quarter of 2009.
How can I order more copies?
Currently we are making book copies available free through an order form on propertyservices. Copies are also available through Placemakers, and if you wish to order bulk copies please contact us directly.
